Platte Valley Broncos (Kersey, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Brush Beetdiggers (Brush, CO), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Broncos now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they host Holyoke for a 3A District 1 challenge on Saturday, October 10. Platte Valley will battle a Dragons squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Yuma (Yuma, CO). The Dragons record now stands at 2-10.

In their next game, the Beetdiggers clash with the Akron Rams (Akron, CO) in a 3A District 1 game, on Thursday, October 8. Brush will attempt to move on its 9-7 season record. The Rams come into the game with a 7-9 record after their 10-2 league loss to Valley (Gilcrest, CO).
