Colorado High School Baseball - Rifle loses to Palisade
April 20, 2013: Palisade, CO 81526 The Palisade Bulldogs the visiting Rifle Bears baseball team by a count of 9-4 in Saturday's league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Glenwood Springs for a 4A Western Slope bout on Tuesday, April 23. Palisade will face a Demons team coming off a 11-1 league loss to Rifle (Rifle, CO). The Demons record now stands at 2-7.
Next, the Bears face the Glenwood Springs Demons (Glenwood Springs, CO) in a 4A Western Slope bout, on Monday, April 22. Rifle will attempt to move on its 6-6 season record. The Demons enter the bout with a 2-6 record after their 26-2 league loss to Eagle Valley (Gypsum, CO).
Game Summary
Rifle committed five infield errors which allowed Palisade to come back from a 3-0 deficit with 3 runs in the 4th, 3 in the 5th, and 3 in the sixth. All five errors occurred in the 4th and 5th innings.

Bailey Hoffmeister scored two runs on two walks for Rifle. Triston Quigley was 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI. Danny Bartels was 2 for 4 with a 2-RBI triple in the 3rd inning. Wyatt Robinson was 1 for 3 and did a great job blocking balls all day at the catcher position. Alex Gould was 1 for 3 with a run scored.
