Preview: Marine Military vs. Lyford
On Thursday Lyford will take on Marine Military at 6:00 PM. Lyford have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Lyford made easy work of Aransas Pass last Friday and carried off a 37-6 win. Lyford found Lyford's leader in underclassman sophomore Cayleb Klostermann, who accumulated 200 passing yards and punched in 2 rushing TDs. Klostermann has now scored at least one touchdown in the past three games.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Marine Military, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They took a serious blow against Progreso, falling 7-56.
Lyford's victory lifted them to 4-2 while Marine Military's loss dropped them down to 2-4. We'll find out if Lyford can add another positive mark to their record or if Marine Military can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Lyford's step.
