No. 3 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) will be without arguably the nation's most explosive playmaker in its highly anticipated showdown with No. 5 Cedar Hill this evening.

Five-star receiver Tyjon Lindsey broke his collarbone during a scrimmage last Friday and will be out for six weeks, according to sources close to the Gorman program.

It could be a big blow for the Gaels' national title hopes.

The Ohio State commit transferred back to Gorman from Centennial just a few weeks ago, and the 5-foot-9, 161-pound sparkplug was supposed to be the Gaels' primary weapon for their high-octane offense.

The nation's No. 5 receiver and 28th overall prospect posted 1,390 all-purpose yards and 16 total touchdowns last season in guiding Bishop Gorman to its seventh-straight Nevada state title.

Lindsey is expected to return for the Gaels' big-time battle with No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas on Sept. 30.
