Heritage Hall prepares to host a special TOC 2015-16 ceremony where the football team will be nationally recognized by MaxPreps.
MaxPreps is pleased to announce that the
Heritage Hall (OK) Chargers have officially been named to the 11th Annual MaxPreps Tour of Champions presented by the Army National Guard, which is in its 11th year honoring football.
This is one of the most prestigious team awards in all of high school sports and it is an exclusive honor reserved for the top 100 teams nationwide. In order to be eligible, a team must win a state championship and be highly ranked in the MaxPreps National Rankings. For football, only 50 of the country's best are invited and with nearly 17,000 competing varsity teams. This puts the Chargers ahead of 99.9 percent of their opponents!
Coming off 10 straight wins in the regular season, defending state champion Heritage Hall moved on to the
2015 Oklahoma Class 3A state tournament in search of a repeat title. The Chargers dominated en route to the state finals and tallied a total of 202 points against Blanchard, Plainview, Hilldale and Lone Grove while holding all four teams to 55 points combined.
Two of the five football teams left unbeaten, Heritage Hall and Lincoln Christian, were set to play for the gold ball on Dec. 12. The Chargers (14-0) looked to defend their crown and earn the program's fifth title while Lincoln Christian was playing for its second title.

Heritage Hall ran away with a 38-14 win over the Bulldogs and for the first time in school history the Chargers claimed back-to-back championships. Senior running back Terrell Love for the Chargers was named the game MVP with 219 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
The team's victory capped its perfect season at 15-0 and also extended the program's winning streak to 27 which is currently the longest winning streak in the state. After outscoring their opponents 776-176, the Chargers averaged 442.1 total yards, 51.3 points and 7.3 touchdowns per game.
In the end, Heritage Hall finished ranked No. 112 in the nation, No. 2 in Oklahoma, No. 1 in Division 3A,
No. 21 in the southwest region and
No. 4 in MaxPreps' national small schools rankings. On top of that, they also went 6-0 in 3A District 1.
These incredible season achievements have earned the Heritage Hall Chargers an invitation to the 11th Annual Tour of Champions.
