No, that's not a basketball score. Fireworks on the field in Pennsylvania as Meadville's Journey Brown rushes unofficially for 720 yards and DuBois' Matt Miller passes for 782.

107-90 would be a high-scoring basketball game.

The fans who showed up for the DuBois (Pa.) home game Friday night against Meadville (Pa.) probably had no idea what they were in store for.

When DuBois led 56-51 at halftime, they probably new something special was on the way. Both teams just kept scoring ... and scoring ... and scoring ... until the final whistle blew and Meadville came away with a 107-90 victory.

According to several reports, Journey Brown rushed for 720 yards and 10 touchdowns, leading Meadville to its second straight win. If that total stands, according to the NFHS record book, it would be the second highest rushing total ever, surpassed only by Netcong (N.J.) running back John Giannantonio, who rushed for 754 against Mountain Lakes in 1950.

Remarkably, this was the most points scored in a game by two teams since 1927 when Haven (Kan.) defeated Sylvia (Kan.) 256-0.

DuBois had its own set of heroes. According to several reports, quarterback Matt Miller threw for 782 yards, which would rank the second most ever nationally.

According to the Meadville Tribune, DuBois passed for 503 yards and Meadville rushed for 474. … by halftime.

At that point Brown had 17 carries for 338 yards and DuBois receiver Colin Read had seven catches for 324 yards. The two teams had combined for 100 points with 3:35 left in the first half.

The score was tied at 63 when Caleb Bish scored on a 5-yard run and added a two-point conversion to give Meadville a 71-63 edge.

DuBois closed to 71-69, but Darius Edwards came through for the defense — one of the few times all night — breaking up a two-point conversion try keeping Meadville in front.

Actually, another defensive gem, an interception by Tanner Frye set up Meadville’s next touchdown drive making it 79-69 in the third.

DuBois closed to 79-75 with another TD run, before Brown was at it again on a 47-yard scamper, making it 85-75 with 2:14 left in the third. A long touchdown bomb, closed the game to 85-82 heading into the fourth

A Bish 1-yard run made it 93-82 before Edwards intercepted a pass, setting up another big Brown run — a 93-yard touchdown – essentially putting this one away> Meadville led 99-82.

But hitting triple digits was another landmark.

Fittingly, Brown did that by going 66 yards for another touchdown run. It was his 10th TD run of the game.

“Journey Brown is super human,” the Medville Tribune tweeted.

According to luckyshow.org, the last 100-point game in the nation was Davidson Day (N.C.) defeating Harrells Christian Academy 104-80 in 2012, and Friday was the highest scoring winning score since Bloomington (Calif.) piled up 108 in 2005.

This was also the most points by a Pennsylvania team since Wilkinsburg defeated Evans City 133-0 in 1930.

If Miller's passing totals hold up, it would be a NFHS record. Davidson Day's Will Grier passed for 837 in the above-mentioned 104-80 win but because his school was not a member of a state organization, the NFHS didn't recognize the number. The NFHS record for passing yards is David Koral, of Pacific Palisades, who threw for 764 in 2000.

Note: Correction was made to change highest-scoring game from Sherman's 199-0 win to Haven's 256-0 win.
