Preview: Salisbury School vs. Phillips Academy
Salisbury School (0-1) will have its first chance of the season to defend its home turf as it faces off against Phillips Academy (2-0) on Saturday at 3:00 PM. Salisbury School has the odds in its favor, so it won't want to drop the ball.
Seemed to have the cards in its favor last week with an advantage of 21 positions in the state rankings, but it got dealt a bad hand. It has to be hurting after a devastating 42 - 20 defeat at the hands of Taft School last game. The offensive line was plagued by an aggressive Taft School defense that sacked the quarterback five times.
As for Phillips Academy, it was able to grind out a solid victory over Loomis Chaffee School last week, winning 27 - 14. Phillips Academy had two big standouts, as junior Will Litton picked up 125 yards on the ground, while senior Zach Geddes ran for 80 yards and also punched in two touchdowns.
The last time they met, Salisbury School was the 41 - 14 victor. Can it repeat its success? We'll find out this Saturday.
