Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, N.C.) is validating his place atop the
247Sports Composite for the Class of 2016 this summer.
Giles, a 6-foot-9, 225-pound power forward, is one of four rising high school seniors currently in Greece with USA Basketball's U19 team. Through three games, he is averaging 13.6 points and 8.3 rebounds — playing less than 20 minutes in all three.
The subject of a heavyweight recruiting battle that includes Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and North Carolina (247Sports Crystal Ball has Blue Devils and Tar Heels as the leaders), Giles was also the lead dog for EYBL regular season champion CP3.
Back in April, Giles earned
fourth team MaxPreps All-American honors after putting up 23.9 points and 12.5 rebounds per game for Wesleyan Christian Academy. The Trojans finished the season ranked No. 12 nationally.
