Football Game Recap: Monrovia vs. Arroyo

On Thursday, Arroyo put the finishing touches on their 6th blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Monrovia to the tune of 79-10. That looming 69-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Arroyo yet.

Arroyo's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 41 points in the first half. Monrovia countered with 3 points, leaving the score at 41-3 going into the half. Arroyo put the contest away in the third quarter with 24 points from the offense and seven points allowed from the defense.

Arroyo will look to defend their home turf next week against Mountain View at 7:00 PM. Those two teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous games. As for Monrovia, they will face off against San Marino. San Marino have averaged 52.43 points over the course of their past three games, so Monrovia might be in for a challenge.
