Frankton's Jack Rogers goes end zone to end zone with a punt last week to overshadow the NFL's best.

Watch the Frankton (Ind.) senior get all of a punt attempt last week.

Punters and kickers aren't often lumped in with top football players — or plays — but Jack Rogers is helping to change all that.

The 6-foot-1, 181-pound Frankton (Ind.) senior boomed a ball that went 100 yards but officially went down as a 92-yard punt last week.

It prompted one local television station to note that he outdid Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee, who had a season-best 74-yard punt on Sunday and leads the NFL with a 51.8 yard average.

As the video above shows, Rogers blasted the ball from his own goal line about 15 yards over the heads of the returners. The ball bounded sharply toward the Frankton goal line.

In fact, the only negative about the punt is that it skipped 1 yard into the end zone instead of 1 yard short.

Either way, the punt helped Rogers increase his season average to 43.7 yards per attempt. As a kicker, he's booted four balls into the end zone for touchbacks. Also listed as an outside linebacker and tight end, Rogers has a touchdown reception.
