St. Xavier Tigers (Louisville, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South Oldham Dragons (Crestwood, KY), 73-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Xavier upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Tigers travel to DuPont Manual (Louisville, KY) to play the Crimsons in a District 25 bout on Friday, January 23. The Crimsons go into the bout with a record of 9-9. DuPont Manual lost 71-51 in their recent non-league bout against Ballard (Louisville, KY)

Next up, the Dragons play the East Jessamine Jaguars (Nicholasville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 24. South Oldham will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 78-66 non-league loss to Garrard County (Lancaster, KY).
