    • California High School Football - IMG Academy held off by Mater Dei

    September 21, 2018: Santa Ana, CA 92707

    In Friday's non-league game, the Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA) football team tipped the visiting IMG Academy Ascenders (Bradenton, FL), by a final score of 28-24.

    The Monarchs (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Servite (Anaheim, CA). The Friars come into the Trinity game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Servite was tipped by Villa Park (Villa Park, CA), 28-14, in a non-league game.

    The Ascenders now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Northwestern for a non-league game on Saturday, September 29. IMG Academy will battle a Bulls team coming off a 47-21 non-league win over Booker T. Washington (Miami, FL). The Bulls record now stands at 3-2.
