Baseball Recap: Burrillville Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Burrillville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Narragansett Mariners on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Broncos: when they faced off against the Mariners back in April, they had to take a 1-0 loss.

AJ Escalera was excellent, going 4-for-6 with one double and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Furtado, who went 1-for-6 with three stolen bases and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Burrillville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Burrillville's record now sits at 13-8. As for Narragansett, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

As of now, neither Burrillville nor the Mariners have any future games scheduled.
