SIMLA, Colo. - the Cubs scored 28 points in the second quarter to secure a big 50-8 victory over Soroco (Oak Creek, Colo.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, Simla was up 42-0 at the half.
The Cubs expanded their lead to 50 points entering the fourth quarter. Simla scored two times in the third, including once on a rushing touchdown.
With the win the Cubs extended their winning streak to eight games. Simla defeated Kiowa 30-8 last week.
Soroco's only touchdown came on a run in the fourth quarter.
The Rams came in surrendering 13.3 points per game this season. Soroco had a hard time against Simla's offense, which entered the game scoring 33.1 points per game. The Cubs came into the game allowing 5.7 points per game. Soroco's eight points were well below its season average of 33.9 per game.
