4A Foothills recap November 13, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Foothills this week, Pueblo South beat Longmont 38-27. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Colts.
Pueblo West lost to Pine Creek 35-18 last week, the largest margin of any game. Zac Drury was a bright spot for the Cyclones, as he threw for 78 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 33 yards in the loss.
Pueblo South's Nathan Spinuzzi and Devin Valdez have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Spinuzzi has thrown for 2,097 yards this season, while Valdez has 44 catches for 818 yards. Quincy Kindred from Pueblo Centennial leads the league in rushing with 1,726 yards.
Accruing a total of 13 touchdowns this year, Logan Nethercot has thrown for 1,812 yards with 4 interceptions.
In 170 carries Tyler Templeton has put up 971 yards this year.
Ryan Goddard's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 38 points on the Trojans. Spinuzzi threw for 179 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 39 yards in the win.
