Orland will challenge Willows on the road at 7:30 PM on Friday. Orland is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Last Friday, Orland narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Anderson 13-10. Junior Hunter Foster, who picked up 77 yards on the ground and caught passes for 80 yards, was a major factor in Orland's success. One of the most thrilling moments of the contest was Foster's 80-yard TD pass in the second quarter.
Meanwhile, Willows were fully in charge, breezing past Hamilton 52-0. Willows was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-1. In Willows's victory, senior Logan Blair picked up 60 yards on the ground and caught passes for 117 yards and senior Marko Venegas rushed for 102 yards and 3 touchdowns. We'll see if Orland have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
