The status quo has become the norm not only for the No. 1 teams in the MaxPreps regional football computer rankings, but also for No. 2
The No. 1 teams in the five regions did not change for the third straight week, but the No. 2 teams in each region remained the same as well. Even the No. 3 teams in four of the regions stayed the same with the southwest seeing the only change.
The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps National Football Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. For the purposes of these rankings, the country is broken down into five regions:
West: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska and Montana.
Southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma,and Texas.
Midwest: Arkansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
South: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Northeast: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Vermont.
