Naples (Fla.) had its advantage, which at one point stood at 14 points, drop to seven before the final whistle blew on a 21-14 victory over
IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.).
After taking the lead on a
Carlin Fils-Aime touchdown run in the first quarter, the Golden Eagles led 14-0 at the half.
Naples saw its 14-point halftime lead fall to seven entering the fourth.
The final score was a stunner, as NHS was ranked No. 88 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Florida, far below IMG Academy's spot at No. 32.

Tyler Byrd, the Golden Eagles went into the matchup giving up only 14.8 points per game. The 14 points that IMG Academy ended with were well below its average of 30.8 coming into the game.
The loss comes after IMG Academy defeated Clearwater Central Catholic 19-13 last week. The win brought Naples' winning streak to four games.
NHS (8-2) will play a playoff game against Bayside next week. The Bears will bring a record of 8-2 into the meeting.
