With California home to half of the schools in the Pac-12, it's logical that close to 50 percent of the players who compete in the conference come from the state.
California is the home of 578 football players who competed in the Pac-12 this year, according to data provided by the High School Athlete College Guide. That total represents 45 percent of the 1,273 players in the conference.
Washington and Arizona were the only states over seven percent. Washington has 100 players in the conference this year (7.9 percent) and Arizona has 98 (7.7 percent).
Texas and Florida do not have any schools in the Pac-12 yet provided over 10 percent of the players in the conference. Texas has 89 players in the conference while Florida has 46.
Out of the Big 10, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC, California sent the most players to any one conference with its total of 578. Texas sent 561 players to the Big 12 while Georgia sent 270 to the SEC.
