Emanuel County Institute's James Brown recorded the longest rushing play in A Region 3B this season in his game against Johnson County last week. Brown's team defeated the Trojans as he sprinted for 82 yards on the play and finished with 190 in all.
Emanuel County Institute extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Johnson County, 40-0. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
The Bulldogs' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Caleb Pressey threw for 42 and one touchdown and Keith Sapp had 28 yards receiving. Kenny Butler helped Emanuel County Institute's passing attack out by catching one ball for 14 yards.
Emanuel County Institute's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Pressey has thrown for 562 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Greg Percell has six catches for 208 yards. Percell leads the league in rushing with 589 yards.
A big matchup in A Region 3B this week will be when Montgomery County takes on Emanuel County Institute. The Eagles are currently in fifth, while the Bulldogs are in first.
