In what's become a running theme this season, the Lapwai Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 69-39 victory over Prairie on the road. Winning may never get old, but Lapwai sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Kase Wynott was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 22 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists. Wynott is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ahlius Yearout, who scored 18 points.
Lapwai pushed their record up to 13-2 with that win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41.82 points. As for Prairie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lapwai will square off against Genesee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Genesee is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Prairie, they will head out on the road to take on Potlatch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
