After two weeks on the road, South Plainfield is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Woodbridge at 7:00 PM. South Plainfield are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.
Last Friday, South Plainfield came up short against Linden, falling 0-14. South Plainfield got a solid performance out of junior Ashwin deGroot, who ; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.
Meanwhile, Woodbridge didn't have too many spare points in their matchup with Kennedy Memorial, but they still walked away with a 26-21 win. The success made it back-to-back wins for Woodbridge.
Woodbridge's win lifted them to 3-4 while South Plainfield's defeat dropped them down to 3-3. In their victory, Woodbridge relied heavily on senior Chance Modica, who caught passes for 130 yards and picked up 52 yards on the ground. South Plainfield will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
