2A/1A Rocky River recap Nov. 7, 2012
Monroe extended the longest winning streak in 2A/1A Rocky River this week by beating Bishop McGuinness, 69-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Monroe took down the Villains 69-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Quashaun Chambers threw for 98 yards and two touchdowns and ran for nine yards in the win.
Rasheed Rushing was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 164 yards as Union Academy fell to Salisbury. Teammate Antonio James added to the ground attack by rushing for 62 yards.
Jared Lee threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns. He was six-12 with one interceptions.
Kendall was the best wideout in the league this week as the Cavaliers lost to the Hornets. Kendall racked up two receptions for 95 yards. Ryan Torzsa helped Cuthbertson's passing attack out by catching four balls for 92 yards.
On the ground, the Cardinals' Rushing has rushed for 1556 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Emmitt Afam. The Cuthbertson star has 49 catches for 920 yards.
Chambers of the daniel goings' team is only 43 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 124 carries Chambers has accumulated 957 yard this year.
The Redhawks led the league in scoring this week after putting up 69 points on Bishop McGuinness. Chambers in the win.
