Kennedy have to be aching after a bruising 12-40 defeat to George Washington last Friday. Junior Manual Lucero and junior Elias Horta were two go-getters for Kennedy despite the loss. The former picked up 62 yards on the ground and accumulated 120 passing yards, while the latter picked up 118 yards on the ground. This marked the 5th game in which Horta has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, Green Mountain brought a five-game winning streak into their match against Evergreen last Friday; they left with a six-game streak. Green Mountain won the contest and then some against Evergreen, taking the contest 31-7. That looming 24-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Green Mountain yet.
Green Mountain's win lifted them to 6-2 while Kennedy's defeat dropped them down to 4-4. In their win, Green Mountain relied heavily on junior Trey Towndrow, who picked up 83 yards on the ground and accumulated 105 passing yards. Kennedy will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
