Palisades Park/Leonia's Adeyemi Da Silva rumbled for the longest rushing play in North Jersey - Meadowlands this season in his game against Hawthorne last week. Da Silva scampered for 53 yards on the play and finished with 135 on the day as his team defeated the Bears.
Da Silva and Malik St. Hilaire provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Hawthorne. The connection went for 53 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Da Silva was the best running back in the league this week. Eric Johnson also contributed to the rushing game with 40 yards on the ground.
St. Hilaire was the best receiver in North Jersey - Meadowlands this week as Palisades Park/Leonia beat John Passero's team. St. Hilaire tallied 4 receptions for 70 yards.
Darren Iurato put up the best numbers in passing as Hasbrouck Heights topped Glen Rock. He finished with 7 completions for 123 yards. Iurato's favorite target this week was Franklin Garcia, who caught 2 passes for 51 yards.
Da Silva was a passing and rushing force as david schuman's team defeated the Bears.
The Aviators' 5-foot-11 quarterback Iurato is the league leader in passing yards this season with 123. The leading receiver in the league this season is St. Hilaire. The Palisades Park/Leonia star has 4 catches for 70 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Waldwick/Midland Park takes on the Tigers. At the moment, the Warriors are in first, while Palisades Park/Leonia is in third.
Waldwick/Midland Park moved up to 190 from 229 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Greg Gruzdis' team was able to make move up by topping Rutherford 27-0.
