Churchill County (7-2) takes on Lowry (1-8) this Thursday at 7:00 PM. Lowry will want to keep Churchill County's offense in check as it has had no trouble moving up and down the field in its last three games.
Churchill County can now show off three landslide victories after its game two weeks ago. It took its contest against Sparks two weeks ago by a conclusive 48 - 23 score. One major factor in the win was the play of sophomore true, who ran for 224 yards and also punched in three touchdowns. This sound performance was nothing new for Richardson, who has been a rock for Churchill County in the past seven games. Sophomore Tommy Mccormick was in the mix too, providing Churchill County with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, victory was within reach two weeks ago, but Lowry ultimately lost 18 - 14 to Elko. Even without the glory of a win, however, senior Victor Rosas still made his mark on the game as he earned two touchdowns and 162 yards rushing the ball. Rosas has also now scored at least one touchdown in the past three consecutive games.
The last time they met, Churchill County was the 35 - 8 victor. The rematch might be a little tougher for it since the team will be on Lowry's home field this time. We'll soon find out whether that makes a difference or not.
