The Colorado High School Activities Association announced late Thursday that the start of the Class 4A state softball tournament, scheduled to begin Friday, will be delayed by two hours because of wet fields.
The Class 4A event was scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Complex C at the Aurora Sports Park. Park management has pushed back the initial four games until noon. All subsequent rounds also will be delayed two hours Friday. The Class 5A and 3A tournaments, which also will be played at the Aurora Sports Park, are expected to begin at or close to the 10 a.m. scheduled start time, according to the CHSAA.
