Georgia running back headed to Oklahoma next season.
Trey Sermon of
Sprayberry (Marietta, Ga.)
has already enrolled at Oklahoma, where he is expected to battle for
the openings created at running back by the early departure of Samaje
Perine and Joe Mixon.
Sermon, a 4-star recruit by 247 Sports, earned second team All-State honors this season by the Georgia Sports Writers Association. He rushed for 1,227 yards on 166 carries with 16 touchdowns for the Yellowjackets.
Sermon is expected to compete with junior college transfer Marcelias Sutton and possibly Kennedy Brooks of Mansfield for a spot at running back.
