SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -
Horizon (Scottsdale, Ariz.) overcame
Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, Ariz.), 32-21.
The Huskies were up 13-7 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Mark Robinson to
David Velazquez in the second quarter.
Horizon expanded its lead to 19 points entering the fourth quarter. HHS scored three times in the third, including once on a
Charlie Quinn touchdown run.
Nick Duckworth played well for the Saints. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns.
The Huskies' standout player in the win was Quinn. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns and caught one touchdown. He has now scored 14 touchdowns on the season.
The victory will ease some of the sting of Horizon's close 31-28 loss to Notre Dame Prep last season.
The win was a nice bounce back for HHS, which lost to Chaparral last week, 55-20. The loss comes after Notre Dame Prep defeated McClintock 42-7 last week. The loss snapped NDP's 3-game winning streak.
