A player from a state that doesn't even sanction high school baseball proved to be the hero in the Under Armour All-American Baseball Game on Saturday at Wrigley Field.
Brandon Nimmo, an outfielder from East High School in Cheyenne, Wyo., went 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored and two RBIs in leading the American team to a 7-0 win over the National team at the third annual Under Armour contest. Wyoming does not play high school baseball, but Nimmo plays American Legion during the spring and summer.
