Laker moved up to 161 from 210 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Greater Thumb - West. The Lakers were able to move up by topping Unionville-Sebewaing 27-0.
Laker extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Patriots, 27-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the George Gardy's team.
Vassar's Michael Pratt and Tom Palmer have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pratt has thrown for 536 yards this season, while Palmer, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 11 catches for 213 yards. Unionville-Sebewaing's Seth Gangler leads the league in rushing yards with 423.
As it stands, the Vulcans are in second, while Reese is in fourth.
Vassar took down All Saints Central 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
