Northeastern had a rough outing against Union City last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Northeastern captured a comfortable 24-6 victory over Centerville. Centerville can consider this payback for the 0-14 loss they dealt Northeastern the last time the teams encountered one another.
Northeastern got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against Centerville and cruised to a 16-point first half. Meanwhile, Centerville couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 16-0 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Northeastern in the second half and held Centerville to 6 points. The win bumped Northeastern's record up to 5-1. The loss dropped Centerville back to even at 3-3.
Next week Northeastern take on Shenandoah at 7:00 PM. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous games. As for Centerville, they will face off against Union County.
