2013 MaxPreps California Division III All-State Football Teams

Edgar Segura of Mendota is the Central Section's all-time leading rusher and California's all-time leading touchdown scorer. He's also the MaxPreps Division III State Player of the Year.

The choice was not a difficult one. According to the Fresno Bee, Segura is the all-time rushing leader in Central Section history with 8,030 yards, including 3,460 in 2013. His 137 touchdowns, according to Cal-Hi Sports, rank No. 1 in state history. Perhaps his most impressive showing came against Fresno, a school with nearly four times the enrollment as Mendota, and he rushed for 303 yards.

The Division III Coach of the Year honors goes to Scott Meyer of Corona del Mar. Prior to Meyer's hire at the Orange County School, the Sea Kings had only two seasons with 10 wins since 2004 with most years ending around a .500 winning percentage. In Meyer's three seasons, Corona del Mar has not won less than 12 games, has won three straight division championships and went 16-0 with a Division III state championship in 2013.

The Division III all-state team consists of players who participated on teams that competed in CIF Bowl Game Division III enrollment divisions.
