Pine Forest won the last time they faced Gray's Creek, and things went their way on Friday, too. Pine Forest got past Gray's Creek with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 42-36. The success represented a nice turnaround for Pine Forest, who in their last game suffered a tough 0-28 defeat.
Pine Forest's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 27 points in the first half. Gray's Creek came up with 20 to make it 27-20 heading into the break. Pine Forest were outperformed in the second half 15-16 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. The win bumped their record up to 3-1. The loss dropped Gray's Creek back to even at 2-2.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Pine Forest take on Douglas Byrd at Bob Paroli Stadium at 7:30 PM. As for Gray's Creek, they will face off against E.E. Smith.
