David Olvera threw three touchdowns and
Devin Ogden caught three as
Medina Valley (Castroville, Texas) beat
Uvalde (Texas) 37-14 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Bradley Griggs in the second quarter, the Panthers led 31-6 at the half.
Medina Valley expanded its lead to 32 points entering the fourth quarter. MV scored once in the quarter on a Olvera touchdown pass to Ogden.
A 23-point second quarter helped the Castroville school secure the big victory. The Panthers scored on a touchdown run by Griggs, a Griggs touchdown run and a Olvera touchdown pass to Ogden in the quarter.
Medina Valley came into the game allowing 17.9 points per game.
The loss comes after Uvalde defeated Harlandale 34-21 last week. The loss broke Uvalde's two-game winning streak.
