Bay City Western won the Michigan Division 1 state softball title and returned to the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Softball Rankings for the first time in four weeks. In a rare double, Bay City's softball squad defeated Central Portage on the same day its baseball team won the state championship.
Kasson-Mantorville moved into the Top 25 as it concluded its season at 28-0 with a Minnesota 2A state title.
Meanwhile, Amador Valley held onto the No. 1 spot, followed closely by No. 2 Alexander Central. Amador Valley completed its season June 3.
Central, which has won 67 straight games and the last two North Carolina 4A titles, concluded its season June 10.
After falling out for one week, No. 25 Aledo (Texas) returns to anchor the rankings.

Meredith Rouse, Bay City Western defeated Central Portage 4-2 to win Michigan's D1 title. Rouse had 80 hits on the season and Leppek finished with 310 strikeouts. Rouse's total is the ninth-highest in Michigan history. The same day Bay City Western won the state softball title, it also won the state baseball championship.

Maddie Damon finished the season 26-0 with a 0.22 ERA and struck out 323 in 160 innings. She allowed just 26 base hits and hurled 20 shutouts and capped the season with a one-hit shutout. The Komets gave up just nine runs, while scoring 257. They allowed multiple runs in just one game this season.

Bloomingdale won its last nine games and beat Hagerty for state 8A title. It last lost to Alonso, 6-5, on April 4.
