HOMER, La. - After trading leads three times,
Homer (La.) snatched the lead for good when they threw a touchdown in the third quarter, paving the way for victory over
Lakeside (Sibley, La.) 62-38.
The Pelicans saw their 8-point halftime lead decrease to four entering the fourth.
Homer secured its victory by scoring 20 points in the fourth quarter to push the final margin to 24.
The loss comes after Lakeside defeated Red River 37-6 last week. The loss snapped Lakeside's two-game winning streak.
Homer (2-4) goes up against Red River in a 2A District 1 game matchup next week, while Lakeside (5-2) locks horns with Calvary Baptist Academy also in a 2A District 1 game.
