Needles scaled the state rankings by moving to 59 from 894 this week, the biggest jump in III Southern.
Mountain View Christian added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Battle Mountain, 24-6. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Saints.
Meadows's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacob Gleason threw for 151 yards and Matt Biafore had 90 yards receiving. On the ground Bryson Navallo contributed 50 yards. Rj Haskins helped Meadows' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 47 yards.
Biafore was the best wideout in the league this week as the Mustangs lost to Yerington. Biafore tallied 8 receptions for 90 yards. Haskins helped Meadows' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 47 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Gleason and Navallo, Meadows has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Gleason is tops in the league in passing with 1,138 yards, while Navallo has rushed for 1,451 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Calvary Chapel Christian's Chris Basilio, with 680 yards on 32 catches.
Frank DeSantis' team lost to the Lions 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Biafore was a bright spot for the Mustangs, as he in the loss.
