Millard North (Omaha, Neb.) came into Saturday's contest ranked No. 11 in Nebraska, but was stunned by
Creighton Prep (Omaha, Neb.), 21-13. Creighton Prep was ranked at No. 15 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Nebraska coming into the week.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, the Junior Jays were up 14-10 at the half.
Creighton Prep saw its 4-point halftime lead fall to one entering the fourth.
CP led by as many as 14 points before the Mustangs cut into the final margin.
Millard North's only touchdown came on a 9-yard run in the second quarter.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Junior Jays, who lost to Omaha Westside last week, 14-7. The loss was the third in a row for Millard North.
In a non-conference game next week Millard North (0-3) takes on Kearney, and Creighton Prep (2-1) will go up against Lincoln Southeast also in a non-conference game.
