It was a landmark night in Arizona on Friday as one single-game state record went down, and season and career marks were tied.
According to the Arizona Republic,
Saguaro (Scottsdale, Ariz.) senior
D.J. Foster scored a state-record 10 touchdowns during an 82-48 Division III first-round victory over Sunrise Mountain.

Foster, a 6-foot, 185-pound uncommitted senior, scored seven TDs rushing and three more receiving giving him 51 scores on the year, which matches the state mark set by Sabinos Nathan Wize in 1997.
Foster is ranked the No. 86 recruit overall in the country by MaxPreps/CBS recruiting expert Tom Lemming. He was one of eight starters rested last week during a 65-0 loss to Chaparral which caused quite a stir.
Evidently the rest helped.
Then again
Chaparral (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and Texas-bound quarterback
Connor Brewer played in that game last week and he came back with four touchdown passes in a 62-0 win over Gila Ridge.
That gave Brewer 94 for his career, which ties a state mark.

Placer's Joe Mangino scored two TDs
in a 56-14 win over Foothill.
