The Lapwai Wildcats can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Genesee 105-43 on the road. Lapwai's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Kase Wynott was his usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-8 from deep and dropping a triple-double on 68 points, 17 rebounds, and 11 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Payne, who scored 21 points along with five assists.
When it comes to explaining why Genesee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Seth Vestal. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points.
Lapwai pushed their record up to 14-2 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 43.5 points. As for Genesee, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lapwai will take on Clearwater Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clearwater Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 69th, while Lapwai is ranked ninth). As for Genesee, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Potlatch at 6:00 p.m.
