LIVERMORE, Calif. -
California (San Ramon, Calif.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 21-3 victory over
Livermore (Calif.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Cameron Owen to
CJ Cornwell in the first quarter, the Grizzlies were up 7-3 at the half.
California grew its lead to 11 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by
Blake Bierwith.
Coming into the game the San Ramon school had allowed 20.4 points per game this year. A defensively strong the Grizzlies kept the Cowboys well below the 19.0 points it had been averaging per game.
California also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 56-28.
