LOUISVILLE, Ky. –
Millard South (Omaha, Neb.) High School's
Rylie Unzicker was named MaxPreps/NFCA National High School Player of the Week for games played Sept. 26-Oct. 2.
Unzicker rattled off a 10 hits, seven for extra bases, including four home runs igniting Millard South's 44-run output in five games last week. The senior centerfielder hit .778 (10-for-13) with 10 RBI and 12 runs scored, while adding three doubles for a 1.923 slugging percentage as the Patriots posted five victories. She opened the week homering, driving in two and scoring three times in a 4-0 triumph over Millard West. Two days later in a slugfest against Millard North, she went 3-for-3, launched two long balls, knocked in four and scored twice in a 10-7 victory. Unzicker doubled and scored three runs versus Lincoln Southwest and capped off the week with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in a 5-3 win against Omaha Central.

The MaxPreps/NFCA High School Players of the Week are announced on
NFCA.org every Monday during the fall season, with one representative chosen from the participating regions. During the spring campaign, a player from each of five separate high school regions is selected.
