Luke McCaffrey of
Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) delivered a pledge to the Cornhuskers.
When he hits the field in Lincoln, McCaffrey will be the fourth brother in his family to play FBS football, joining Max (Duke, San Francisco 49ers), Christian (Stanford, Carolina Panthers) and Dylan (Michigan). Ed McCaffrey, the foursome's father, played at Stanford and for 13 seasons in the NFL.
Listed at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, Luke has done a little bit of everything for Valor Christian but is being recruited as a quarterback. He is a Top 300 prospect in the Class of 2019 according to
247Sports and the top prospect in his home state.
Over the past two seasons, McCaffrey has thrown for over 900 yards and six touchdowns, run for 792 yards and 11 touchdowns and hauled in 66 passes for 864 yards and 11 more scores. He also plays defense and returns kicks and punts.
In addition to football, McCaffrey has also participated in basketball, lacrosse and track and field at Valor.
