On Friday Danville take on Waldron at 7:00 PM. The teams have set a high bar for this match after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests.
Danville took their game against Dover last week by a conclusive 43-19 score. No one put up better numbers for Danville than senior Quentin Tolbert, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Waldron, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. Everything went their way against Paris as they made off with a 54-28 victory. Waldron were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-1. In Waldron's win, sophomore Braden Williams rushed for 95 yards and 1 touchdown and senior Jarrod Starr rushed for 63 yards and 3 touchdowns. We'll see if Danville have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
