The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Thursday New Brunswick takes on J.P. Stevens in the first playoff game of the year. J.P. Stevens will be looking to take advantage of a struggling New Brunswick defense that has allowed an average of 35 points per game.
New Brunswick battled it out with East Brunswick last week for a well-earned 20 - 14 overtime win.
Meanwhile, last game was the first rocky defensive outing for J.P. Stevens this year. It has to be hurting after a devastating 49 - 21 defeat at the hands of St. Joseph last game. The game was close at halftime with a score of 21 - 14, but J.P. Stevens simply couldn't keep up in the second half.
J.P. Stevens's defeat dropped it to 2-6 while New Brunswick's win brought it to 2-7. Can New Brunswick pick up its first back-to-back wins of the season, or will J.P. Stevens prove too much? We'll see soon enough.
