The United States wrapped up preliminary play Thursday at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Cancun, Mexico, by thumping Costa Rica 118-46 to improve to 3-0.

Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.) nearly recorded a quadruple-double with 18 points, 18 rebounds, nine assists and eight blocked shots.
Conner Frankamp scored a team-high 22 points to go along with nine assists as seven Americans scored in double figures for the second-consecutive game.

The United States led 19-0 after the first quarter and 59-7 at haltime.
Under head coach Don Showalter, the United States is now 16-0 all-time in U16 and U17 play. FIBA instituted competition for the age groups in 2009.
Tournament play begins Friday in Cancun. The opponent will be determined by outcomes of games to be play Thursday night.
