Two new teams moved up to No. 1 in this week's MaxPreps California Bowl Game Rankings, including Sutter, which picked up its second straight impressive win.
After opening the season with a 49-14 win over El Cerrito, the Huskies knocked off Novato 56-7. Sutter replaces West Valley (Cottonwood) for the top spot in the Northern California Division III rankings.
In the Southern California Division III rankings, Newbury Park moved up to No. 1 after last week's No. 1 Bakersfield Christian, lost to Central Valley Christian (Visalia) 49-19.
