ALEXANDRIA, La. -
Bolton (Alexandria, La.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as they threw a touchdown with with 4:00 remaining in the second quarter, bringing the team to victory over Vidalia (La.) 45-14.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the second quarter, the Bears led 19-14 at the half.
Bolton expanded its lead to 12 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS's lone score in the quarter came on a rushing touchdown.
The Alexandria school locked in the win by scoring 19 points in the fourth quarter to push the final margin to 31.
The Bears also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 28-0.
The win was a nice bounce back for Bolton, which lost to West Ouachita last week, 47-29. The victory snapped Bolton's three-game losing streak.
Bolton (1-3) goes up against Beau Chene in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Vidalia (2-2) locks horns with St. Frederick also in a non-conference game.
