New Trier (Winnetka, Ill.) jumped out to an early lead against
Maine West (Des Plaines, Ill.) and never looked back on the way to a 28-7 victory on Saturday.
The Trevians scored 21 points in the first quarter. New Trier scored on a
Nick Hendricks touchdown pass to
Devin Boehm, a touchdown, a touchdown run by Boehm, a touchdown, a
Jordan Garrett touchdown run and a touchdown.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Hendricks to Boehm in the first quarter, NT led 28-0 at the half.
Boehm played well for the Winnetka school in the victory. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught two touchdowns. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
The Warriors' lone touchdown came on a 19-yard run in the third quarter.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Trevians came away with a 62-0 victory.
The loss was the third in a row for Maine West.
Maine West (1-3) will play a Central Suburban - North game against Highland Park next week, while New Trier (2-2) will take on Maine South in a Central Suburban - South game.
